Thiago spent the early portion of his career as a Principal for a broker-dealer, supervising accounts totaling over $10 billion. During his tenure, he was selected by George I. Connolly, Executive Vice President of Securian Financial, as one of eight members of an executive think tank on transcending the fiduciary duty in wealth management.
Thiago joined RMG in order to serve the federal employee community directly, offering his expertise in personalized wealth management and financial planning strategies to our clients. His extensive study in behavioral economics allows him to lead clients through a unique process to understand their finances, and guide them in growing, managing, and protecting their wealth.
Thiago has completed financial courses with Dr. Robert J. Shiller of Yale University, Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences and Economist, and studied business at the University of Maryland. He is a CFP® professional, and other designations include being an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) professional and a Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant (ChFEBC®) professional, and he is a member of the Financial Planning Association who publishes the Journal of Financial Planning. Thiago also completed the Leadership Montgomery board membership program.
Thiago is multi-lingual, an avid cyclist and hiker, and an accomplished cook in the kitchen. After spending many years living in our nation’s capital, he and his wife Sofy relocated to Howard County where they appreciate the pace and space of suburban living.
